Wingspan: When and why did you start playing golf?
Schneider: “I started playing golf during my freshman year because I needed an athletic credit, but I ended up really enjoying the sport and stuck with it.”
Wingspan: What is your goal for this season?
Schneider: “My goal for this season is to make it past districts.”
Wingspan: What does your practice routine look like?
Schneider: “I try to spend time working on every part of my game. I usually dedicate certain days of the week to specific things like putting, chipping, or working on my full swing.”
Wingspan: What advice would you give your younger self?
Schneider: “I would tell my younger self to take the game more seriously earlier on because the work you put in now will pay off in the future.”
Wingspan: Who is your biggest supporter?
Schneider: “My biggest supporter is my dad. He puts a lot of time and money into helping me improve my golf game and makes many of the opportunities I have possible.”
Wingspan: How do you stay in a good mindset after a rough tournament?
Schneider: “After a rough tournament, I try to reset by listening to music and getting back to practice so I can focus on improving.”
Wingspan: What is your biggest takeaway from high school golf?
Schneider: “My biggest takeaway from high school golf is that improvement comes from consistency and dedication over time.”
