So, yes, we’re “locked” inside our houses without almost nothing to do. And, if you’re like me, you resort to television, playing games, playing instruments. You resort to hobbies.

But, the AP exam is fast approaching with less than a month left to prepare and I feel that I’m doing everything but preparing. You know, finding little excuses to convince myself that what I’m doing right now is worth my time and attention. Using that excuse to completely disregard the fact that this huge exam is inevitable and stalling by wasting time is a fruitless attempt.

I’m somebody who lives in the now. Sure, I overthink about the future. But I don’t always act immediately. And like I said before, if you’re anything like me, you’re sitting down on a couch binging criminal minds right now. I know nobody wants to hear the truth. But, this honestly is a great time to catch up on our SAT practices, study ahead for our next year or just brush up on anything you need to.

I complain sometimes about not knowing the material or having trouble remembering certain formulas, concepts, etc. But this time is perfect for building a strong foundation for whatever it is that you’re struggling in. It doesn’t even have to be school related. This opportunity gives us a chance to redefine ourselves. To better ourselves. To be the best version of ourselves.

And that’s what I’m planning on doing.

I realized that there’s nobody better to wake me up than myself. So, here’s the wake-up call that I’ve been waiting for.
