Girls’ basketball begins playoff run Monday

The girls’ basketball team enters the playoffs Monday night against Wylie East at Plano West High School as the top seed from District 9-5A after winning its fourth straight district championship. Meanwhile, Wylie East finished fourth in District 10-5A.

Here’s a look at the team’s first challenger in the 2016 UIL Girls’ Basketball Playoffs.

Must win finale for Redhawks baseball

As their season comes to an end the Redhawks will participate in the district tournament Thursday. Maintaining a clear and focused mind is always challenging, sophomore Vivienne Haggard said.

Needing a win Tuesday to secure a playoff spot, the Redhawks baseball team missed their chance with a 11-0 loss to the Centennial Titians. It is now up to the seasons final game to determine if the Redhawks will advance.
