Over the summer, many students are interested in summer school and the district is hosting a webinar for more information.

Frisco ISD is hosting a summer school webinar on Wednesday at 6 p.m. for students and parents wanting more information about the process. Students will be able to take courses for remediation and advancement as necessary with the summer school program running from May 31 to June 23.

“I think that I’ll get more clarity from the webinar,” sophomore Sritha Tanikella said. “I want to get more information on the structure of the classes. Plus, there isn’t information that is readily available about the summer school process so I plan on asking questions and getting to understand the system through the webinar.”

The formatting of the classes will be asynchronous with synchronous tutorials provided by the teachers.

“I’m glad that we’re able to take the course online this summer,” Tanikella said. “With COVID-19 cases beginning to rise up again, I believe that it’s a great alternative to hold the program online. Especially, since I want to be able to finish some of my core requirements to take classes that I’m passionate about, I don’t have to worry about my health in the meantime.”
