In their first district match of the season Redhawk Tennis fell short, losing to the Frisco Racoons on Wednesday. “It was a hard-fought match, as expected,” tennis coach Neil Grobler said.

The Redhawk tennis team soared over the Emerson Mavericks on Tuesday, when they won 16-3 in a district matchup.

“We won 16-3,” head coach Erica Dopson said. “They played great and the hard work is paying off.”

The team was looking for improvement after a loss to the Independence Knights last week, and achieved their goal on Tuesday.

“It was a good win, many of the boys got their first win of the season and some were able to bounce back after a few tough losses,” senior Sanjheev Rao said. “We have a big match next week, so we’re doing our best to prepare and work on being more confident in the important stages.”
