The Redhawk tennis team faces the Lebanon Trail Blazers, when they aim to secure a win. The team sits in top 5 in the state of Texas, so they are feeling motivated heading into the match.

The tennis team heads to Lebanon Trail High School on Tuesday to face the Trail Blazers at 4:00 p.m.

“They are ranked in the top five in Texas so our goal is to come out and battle,” head coach Erica Dopson said. “We are looking at a long match.”

According to sophomore Hailey Zhang, the team has been working on playing as a whole rather than individually.

“I think it’ll be a close match since LT has always been a strong team, but this year I feel that we might come out with the win,” Zhang said. “We’ve been working on our doubles a lot and playing more as a team rather than individually, as well as trying to be more aggressive and going for the ball.”
