Set to host Rockwall Heath in a redemption match from last year, the Redhawks hope to grow and build connections as a team.

The volleyball team fell to the Rockwall Yellowjackets 3-2 Tuesday in non-district play, bringing the Redhawks five game winning streak to an end.

“Rockwall is a very good team and we did a good job competing with them,” head coach Eighmy Dobbins said. “It was also our first five set game, which is good to get out of the way.”

Although the score did not reflect a win, for senior Mandy Duckworth the close game against the 6A team showed the Redhawk’s strength.

“The game went surprisingly well,” Duckworth said. “We really executed a game plan and we did not win but overall I still think we won in my heart.”
