Wingspan: Why do you like playing soccer?

Hatfield: “Because I get to hang with my friends, and it’s a lot of fun.”

Wingspan: What’s your favorite part about the sport?

Hatfield: “Scoring goals, and hanging out with my friends.”

Wingspan: What are your expectations for this season as a team?

Hatfield: “To win every game, and never lose.”

Wingspan: Do you have any individual goals for this season?

Hatfield: “Give 100 percent and perform as best as possible.”

Wingspan: Do you have any plans to play in college, if so, which ones are you looking into?

Hatfield: “I plan on playing in college, but I have no idea where.”

Wingspan: What do you think is the hardest part playing for high school soccer?

Hatfield: “The seriousness. It’s really fun, and it’s hard to stay on task sometimes because I love hanging out with my friends so i get distracted.”

Wingspan: Is It difficult to play the soccer season in the winter weather here in Texas? Explain how it is.

Hatfield: “It’s kind of difficult to play in Texas in the winter because it gets kinda chilly, and I don’t really like the cold so much, so I freeze.”

Wingspan: Is it annoying to see little people in the stands due to the weather conditions?

Hatfield: “It’s really understandable to see little amount of people in the stands, but it’s kinda sad.”

Wingspan: Have you ever played club soccer outside of high school? If so, for who?

Hatfield: “I play for FC Dallas, and I have been for a long time.” (Joined when he was 8 years old)

Wingspan: What do you think is most different from club soccer to high school?

Hatfield: “Club soccer is a lot more serious than school soccer. You have to focus a lot more, and you have to practice like twice or 3 times a week for like 2 hours.”
