One of the state’s best awaits the tennis team on Tuesday when the Redhawks travel to Centennial High School at 4:00 p.m. to take on the Titans.

“Centennial is first in the district and top five in the State,” head coach Erica Dopson said. “We are going to compete hard, and if everything goes well we are hoping for a win.”

Tuesday’s match is the final district game for the Redhawks, with the team doing what it can to be ready.

“The team has constantly been working hard and getting much extra practice. Centennial is a pretty good team this year, and we look forward to many competitive matches,” sophomore Rujula Padala said. “We are hoping to put all the practice into getting those results.”

The Redhawks enter the match against the Titans coming off a 11-8 loss to Lebanon Trail on Sept. 27.

“It was a close match and we had many third set tiebreakers,” senior Milla Dospon said. “Of course we always want to win, but everyone fought hard which is the most important part.”
