The girls’ golf team hits the greens for the Region-II 5A Golf Tournament at the Rockwall Golf and Athletic Club on Monday and Tuesday.

“We would like to qualify for the state tournament, the top three teams go to state so its realistic for us to make that goal happen,” head coach Shannon Glidwell said. “If we cannot go to state then we want to send as many individuals as we can.”

The team is aiming for top finishes to bring them to the state tournament.

“My goal at the regionals tournament is to have fun and hopefully get my team out of regionals,” junior Ashley Zhang said. “I feel fairly confident. I have confidence in my team’s abilities and myself to do well. We’ll need all the luck we can get!”
