The countdown until advisory period is closed for the rest of the year is nearly at zero. Starting Thursday, advisory period will no longer be open and all students will remain in their second period class during the 30 minute period.

However, students will still be allowed to put in e-hallpasses to go to another teacher’s classroom for tutorials during the period if needed.

“We have seen over time that all of our students mingling around that time seems to cause some problems,” Assistant Principal Tyler Wicke said. “We want to get in front of that and be more proactive rather than reactive.”

Some students such as senior Alex Figueroa don’t see why advisory should be closed.

“After finals what else do you have to do,” Figueroa said. “You don’t have anything else to do you know. I mean it’s just hanging out with friends doing whatever in class watching movies so, I don’t see why advisory should be closed.”
