There is only one more week of Strength in Struggles left, and I feel like I have come a long way! Next week I will do my true reflection and sappy closing, but I feel like I need to dedicate a column to activity and an update with that.
I have been working on running a lot! It has been my goal since the start of my diagnosis to get back into running and be able to do it consistently. I am pleased to report I have been meeting that goal or more so progressing.
I have been consistently going on runs around Arbor Hills or Russell Creek throughout the week. On days where I do feel a little more tired I will walk around Russell Creek and do some sprints. The thought of days where I couldn’t use the most of my energy would make me upset and demotivate me. However, now I found it’s okay to have a rest day and walking does just as much good for me!
Next week I will wrap up my series and reflect on all things. I can’t wait to continue to share my story with you! Remember our struggles don’t define us.
