With the school year in full swing, advisory is officially back Monday as part of the regular schedule.
Introduced in 2017 when all students on campus were in elementary school, advisory provides a 30 minute break between second and third periods. During this time, students can attend tutorials, club meetings, or hang out in the library or cafeteria.
In recent years, school administrators paused the open advisory period at the beginning and end of the school year. Starting Monday, the open advisory period is back, allowing students the freedom to choose where they want to spend this time.
Advisory will start Monday and run weekly Monday through Thursday from 12:10 to 12:45 p.m. with students being required to remain in common spaces or in tutorials during advisory periods with no roaming of the halls. Fridays will remain closed advisory days for student lessons and other important information.
