District gives behind the scenes look via Insight program

The Frisco ISD Insight program gives residents within Frisco ISD the opportunity to see some of the district’s inner workings. The application window opens Wedensday.

The application window for Frisco ISD Insight opens on Wednesday as district officials pull back the curtain on the district, providing community members the chance to get an inside look at what’s happening in the district. 

“I had already been very involved as a PTA leader, but Insight still opened my eyes to so much more about the district,” FISD Insight alum Cyndia Arakas said in a district news release. “It gave me an even greater appreciation and understanding for what it takes to make FISD run – I wish I had take it even sooner!”

Each district department gets a spotlight and also allows Insight participants the chance to ask questions. 

Applicants must meet the following criteria: 

  • Reside within Frisco ISD
  • One adult per household
  • May not be a FISD employee or student
  • Has not been in the Insight program before
  • Must submit a background check 

Insight classes meet for five sessions between October 2025 and February 2026 with a $20 fee collected at the first session. 

The application window closes Sept. 25 at 4 p.m.

With the final days of the school year approaching, all students will have early release on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Students will be released at 1:00 p.m.
