Election day is nearly a month out, but the last day to register to vote for the Nov. 4 election is Monday.
Unlike previous elections, this election will feature no candidates; instead, voters will only see state of Texas propositions for constitutional amendments on the ballot.
“So, voting is our civic duty,” principal Stacy Whaling said in a previous interview with Wingspan. “Not everyone is afforded the opportunity to be able to vote for the people that they believe should be in office.”
To register to vote, voters can go through one of four avenues:
- Update their address (if they moved within the state) on texas.gov
- Print and complete a voter registration application which they can then mail to the county voter registrar
- Request and complete a postage-paid voter registration application
- Revise an existing voter registration certificate, sign, and return to county voter registrar

The deadline to register to vote is Monday. Early voting opens on Oct. 20 and closes on Oct. 31. Election day is Nov. 4.
