After months and months of discussions, debates, and deliberations, Frisco ISD leadership made the decision at Monday’s Board of Trustees meeting to close Staley Middle School at the end of the 2025-26 school year.
The vote to close Staley was unanimous.
The decision comes as a result of the aftermath of Proposition B being rejected by voters in November 2024.
This proposition would have provided more than $100 million to rebuild Staley, including a replacement of the school’s outdated plumbing system.
Staley Middle School students will be rezoned to Hunt, Trent, and Griffin middle schools starting with the 2026-27 school year.
