A Frisco ISD feature first introduced during the COVID era is back with Frisco Flex, a new virtual learning program set to launch next year for the start of the 2026 school year.

To help students, parents, and guardians to understand the new program, FISD is offering a webinar Monday from 6 to 7 p.m. to explain the program, courses offered, and the registration process. 

This new program will have several options including a fully online version as well as a hybrid in-person and virtual experience. 

The fully online version provides students with a path to graduation by taking online classes only, which will be taught by certified Frisco ISD teachers, with students who take at least four classes online considered part of the hybrid program.

The program is available to Texas residents and all coursework must be completed within Texas.

The Frisco Flex course catalog is available on the district’s site, with applications open for current FISD students in early December and the application window for the statewide virtual program will open Jan. 12, 2026.
