Frisco ISD (FISD) is hosting another Find Your Future event Wednesday night at Lebanon Trail High School from 6 to 7:30 p.m. 

The event is set to explore military academics and the ROTC, as well as host recruiters from each of the military branches and military academies.

Although the military may not be for everyone, joining the U.S. Marine Corps was a life-changing decision for english teacher David Volkmar. 

“Using my personal experience as an example, I was definitely headed down the wrong path during high school; in fact, I was expelled during my senior year.” Volkmar said, “I definitely needed some structure and stability, which the Marine Corps provided, and it definitely provided many opportunities to mature in a way that I needed to.”

In addition to Wednesday’s Find Your Future night, FISD is also offering the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) on January 8th.
