Students in other districts now have the opportunity to switch into a Frisco ISD school through the Access Frisco program, which provides the option for students zoned to non-FISD districts to attend a Frisco school in the 2026-2027 school year.
In addition to expanding to accommodate students in kindergarten through ninth grade, the program has also opened up to include several high school campuses, including Emerson High School, Frisco High School, Independence High School, Liberty High School, Memorial High School, and Panther Creek High School.
In order to transfer to a school through the Access Frisco program, the campus in question must be at or below 90% capacity, in addition to several other criteria families must meet.
The priority application window for the 2026-2027 school year opens Monday and closes Jan. 23.
In order to apply, families must submit the Access Frisco interest form by Jan. 23 to be considered in the lottery, and students looking to participate in cheer must apply through the priority application window in order to be considered for tryouts in the new year.
