Student council is ready for a new set of members but time is running out for students to apply.
Student council applications are open until Friday for sophomores and juniors. From planning homecoming, to organizing pep rallies, STUCO helps with various community building activities around the school.
STUCO member Eringo Daniels believes participating in STUCO is a great experience overall.
“I think Stuco is really fun,” Daniels said. “I really like all the things we do for the school. I like painting the posters that go up in the Rotunda and seeing all my work be displayed, and getting to work as a team with all the people in the class. It’s a really good experience if you love working with other people, showing school spirit and just supporting Liberty all and all.”
But the application process is more than just a quick form to be filled out, according to student council advisor Kandy Stevens.
“What we are really looking for are those students who display good leadership skills that are self motivators and also have the ability to take on diverse perspectives because we are such a diverse campus,” Stevens said. “So we need voices, opinions and ideas from all those different aspects.”
