With several inches of snow, sleet, and ice blanketing north Texas, Frisco ISD announced on Saturday that the district would be closed on Monday due to the weather conditions. The district also announced that it will not need to utilize a bad weather make-up day as a result on Monday’s closure.
In an email sent out out Saturday at 11 a.m., the district said:
“Frisco ISD staff and parents,
Frisco ISD buildings will be closed for instruction and business on Monday, January 26, 2026, due to inclement weather and poor road conditions.
Make-up day: Frisco ISD will not need to utilize a bad weather make-up day for Monday.
- Why? The District can meet the state requirements for minutes of instruction based on our current 2025-26 academic calendar.
We are closely monitoring this weekend’s weather forecast in regards to Tuesday, January 27, 2026. Frisco ISD will notify parents via email and text message in the event of a school closure or delayed start.
More information about weather-related closings in Frisco ISD is available on our District website.
