With several inches of snow, sleet, and ice still blanketing north Texas, Frisco ISD announced on Sunday that the district would remain closed on Tuesday due to the weather conditions. The district also announced that it will not need to utilize a bad weather make-up day as a result on Tuesday’s closure.
In an email sent out out Sunday at 3:03 p.m., the district said:
“Frisco ISD staff and parents,
Frisco ISD buildings will be closed for instruction and business on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, due to inclement weather and poor road conditions.
Make-up day: Frisco ISD will not need to utilize a bad weather make-up day for Tuesday.
- Why? The District can meet the state requirements for minutes of instruction based on our current 2025-26 academic calendar.
