Election results are on hold for the Jan. 31 special election for Frisco City Council Place 1.
Candidate Mark Piland filed a petition for a recount, and on Feb. 16 the city secretary’s office accepted it with recount results to be posted by 5 p.m. on Monday.
Piland ran against Ann Anderson with Anderson receiving 4,063 votes and Piland receiving 3,953 votes according to results canvassed by the city on Feb. 10.
The special election came as a result of seat holder John Keating announced he was running for Frisco city mayor.
