Seniors who choose to participate in Frisco ISD’s 100-hour program must submit all their hours to Xello, accessible via the student portal, by Wednesday to receive a cord during graduation rehearsal.
Although not required for graduation, some seniors, like Ayush Dane, chose to volunteer anyway to make a direct impact on his community.
“I kept seeing gaps in access to basic health resources,” Dane said. “Volunteering let me actively help instead of just learning about them.”
According to an email sent Thursday, March 26, at 4:35 p.m., by the counseling department, students logging their hours must:
- Verify that their volunteer hours are eligible for acceptance
- From their student portal, click the Xello tile
- Log in and click the “about me” title in the first column
- Scroll down the page until they get to experiences
- Click the “volunteer experience” box
- Enter their service information
For any additional questions or concerns regarding volunteer hour submission, students are encouraged to contact Counselor’s Secretary, Shannon Webre, directly at [email protected].
