Hallie Winterbauer

Hallie Winterbauer , Staff Reporter

Hallie Winterbauer is a sophomore who has a passion for the arts- music, painting, and especially writing are right up her alley and is so excited to share it with her community. In her free time you can find her sleeping in a corner, intently reading a book, or painting in her garage (she also may or may not be covered in paint as well, she is quite clumsy) or jamming out to some bluesy music. There are few days when you don’t see her smiling or laughing- she aspires to be the eternal optimist, and will offer a cheesy joke or a whole pile of sass on request. She is extremely excited to see what is in store for Wingspan and herself in the coming year.

With Pinterest as her inspiration, Katharina started making flower crown decorations for her 14th birthday party. "I was like ‘oh, I'm gonna start making flower crowns for this photo booth idea’, but I made them out of tissue paper," Santos said. "Everybody at the party were like ‘oh my gosh, these are so cute’ and kept saying like ‘you should make these and sell them.'”

Checking his email in the bookroom, staff member Ken Budz has many different responsibilities on campus. However, away from school he spends a lot of his time either working on his art or writing. In addition to having his art shown in several galleries, Budz has also had several short stories published.
