Jay Schlaegel, Food Dude

Jay Schlaegel is a familiar face on the Wingspan staff. In addition to being 2014-2015’s R-H-T-V Chief Editor, he has been a contributing reporter and lead anchor since his sophomore year.

In addition to doing what God put him on this Earth to do (have salon-quality hair and read the news), Jay dabbles in other interests such as baseball, Bible study, and community building. He is the President of LHS Pulse, Echo Bible Study, and Student Council, as well as an active member of the Superintendent Student Advisory Council, FCA, and NHS. Intentional relationships and long-term unity are his passions and he’d love to talk with anyone and everyone about theirs.

Once, he threw a burrito out of his moving car on Highway 121 and it hit a nearby biker who then proceeded to punt Jay’s dog Baxter off the side of the overpass. He has been in a glass case of emotion ever since. Stay classy Frisco.
