Perry Mellone is in his senior year. He is a member of the Wingspan team as a photographer. Outside of school he sticks to what he knows, taking photos and making films. He attends Elevate Life Church on a weekly basis with his family. For fun he plays basketball, golf, and video games.  After he completes high school he plans to attend the University of Hawaii at Manoa or a school in Los Angeles. For a career he is interested in photography and filmmaking.

15 Redhawks have been named National Merit Semifinalists for the class of 2022. A total of 109 Frisco ISD students earned this distinction with Liberty High being one of the top schools. Semifinalists will find out in February if they are a finalist.

Playing its first home of the 2018 season at Memorial Stadium on Friday night, the football team endured a 90 minute weather delay before it was able to take the field against Carrollton Creekview. The Redhawks jumped out to a 15-7 lead but ended up falling in double overtime 25-22.

In a $1.5 million project, the Dallas Cowboys built the Ford Center at the Star primarily as a practice facility and HQ. However, since its opening in 2016, the stadium has been available for FISD games and other professional leagues.

The Dr Pepper Ballpark opened in 2003 making way for the family-oriented Double A minor league team for the Texas Rangers, the Roughriders.

Dr Pepper Arena in Frisco is utilized as both a practice rink for the Dallas Stars and stadium for the Texas Legends, a minor league affiliate of the Dallas Mavericks.
