After getting a start in the sport with a close friend, sophomore Sian Mignot has stuck to the sport of lacrosse since then. Through the sport, she has created strong bonds with her teammates and feels like they are a family.

Wingspan: What inspired you to start lacrosse?

Mignot: “I joined because one of my closest friends had played lacrosse and she wanted me to try it out and ever since then i have been attached.”

Wingspan: What keeps you motivated to stay in lacrosse?

Mignot: “I say what keeps me motivated to keep playing lacrosse is the fact no one else really plays lacrosse, and playing lacrosse keeps me moved away from my personal problem and to focus on the sport.”

Wingspan: What is the hardest part of lacrosse?

Mignot: “The most difficult thing about lacrosse is playing on ball defense because defense needs to be aggressive when it comes to protecting the goal.”

Wingspan: What is the biggest benefit of the sport? ?

Mignot: “The biggest benefit lacrosse offers to me is the bond with a team to work and achieve to the same goals. Lacrosse offers me a place where I can play and have fun with teammates and to connect with people that feel like family.”

Wingspan: What pumps you up or motivates you before games?

Mignot: “I would say what pumps me before a game is our team rallies and heaving everyone cheer for each toner right before the game.”

Wingspan: What is your pre-game ritual?

Mignot: “Our team, Frisco Furry, pre-games by listening to our favours songs firing warmups and just cheering on for each other to pump one another for the upcoming game.”
