Good Tex-Mex can be hard to find as many restaurants sell this food in the area, but Tupy’s Mexican Food Supreme in Frisco is a place that sells excellent food at reasonable prices.

There are several appetizers to choose from including nachos, salsa, guacamole, stuffed jalapenos, dip, wings, and taquitos. The bean and cheese nachos were fried and very crunchy, but were extremely cheesey. Aside from the cheesiness of the nachos, they were still very delicious and somewhat greasy, but that didn’t change how they tasted.

For a main course, Tupy’s offers a variety of sopas, ensaladas, enchiladas, tacos, enchiladas and unique specials to choose from. The soft cheese enchilada is a typical dish served at Mexican restaurants but it was not disappointing. Although quite cheesy, it still was savory and traditional.

For dessert there are only three things to pick from: sopapillas, ice cream praline pie and flan. The sopapillas were fried and golden and covered in sugar, but once dipped into the chocolate sauce it changed the original taste. They were very sweet and satisfying.  The staff at Tupy’s is extremely friendly and the service was fast with a fun and vibrant atmosphere incorporating a little bit Mexico into the restaurant making it a place worth going back to.
