After placing the order, the first things to come out were the shakes. The Nutty Butterscotch Thickshake for $7.99 immediately set a high bar for the rest of the meal. The caramel flavor was rich and buttery without being overly sweet, and the crushed almonds added a satisfying crunch in every sip. It was indulgent but not heavy, it felt like a dessert and a drink rolled into one.
After about five minutes, the I Go Mango Thickshake was the second shake to come out. For $7.99, the shake is filled with mango ice cream, mango boba, and mango pieces. It was sweet, fruity, and full of texture. With each sip feeling like a tropical dessert, the shake is definitely made for true mango enthusiasts.
Not too long after getting the shakes, the rest of the meal arrived. For $8.99, The KC BBQ Chicken Burger was generously filled with shredded chicken and layered with onions. The flavor was balanced and smoky. The bun was soft and buttery and held up perfectly without getting soggy. Although the Curly Fries don’t come with the burgers, you can add it to your meal for $3.99. The fries were crispy, golden and perfectly seasoned- a perfect side for the burger.
The Chicken Tikka Burger, for $8.99, offered an Indian twist with its tender, shredded tikka chicken and onions tucked into the same soft buns. It wasn’t too spicy, although I would have enjoyed a little more kick to match the traditional tikka flavor profile.
The atmosphere was inviting, with the Indian music adding to the vibe, and the service was impressively quick without feeling rushed. The food was flavorful and satisfying, with the shakes being the highlight of the meal. With all of this tied together, King and Cardinal provides a great experience to satisfy those burger cravings.
