If you find yourself craving indulgent, divergent ice cream flavors and layered desserts that aren’t just all hype, Heritage Scoop at Prosper is the perfect place to relieve that sweet tooth. Offering cozy vibes, comfortable seating, and great staff, it’s a great place to hang out with friends or just enjoy some scoops by yourself.
The first things tried were the scoops of butterscotch and rose ice cream ($3.49 each). The butterscotch ice cream was nutty with hints of caramel and tasted like a lighter version of dulce de leche. The rose was refreshing and creamy with its floral taste being the highlight of the scoop.
The next thing tried was the Heritage Original Falooda ($6.98), which was an Indian style milkshake made with malai ice cream, basil seeds, and rose syrup and topped with tutti frutti and nuts. The amount of toppings was perfectly balanced with the amount of icecream, with the rose syrup tying it all together with its fragrant sweetness. While you can customize it with other flavors, the original truly makes it what it is.
The Mixed Fruit Falooda is the same price as the original and features an array of different nuts and malai kulfi ice cream. Compared to the original, this version had a lighter overall taste that allowed the nuttiness to stand out. It’s a perfect treat for any nut lover.
Also on the tasting menu of this visit, the Taiyaki ($4.99) which was filled with oreo and lotus biscoff and a side scoop of Midnight Crunch. The waffle was super light and airy and a perfect contrast to the chocolatey ice cream. The fillings were smooth and added sweetness and good texture to the Taiyaki. The ice cream itself was a dark chocolate mixed with coffee, making it super indulgent but a perfect pairing for the Taiyaki.
The employees were kind and offered helpful suggestions that enhanced the experience and everything came out quickly without feeling rushed. Having had similar desserts at different spots before, Heritage Scoop stands out for its generous falooda toppings and ice cream flavors that feel unique. It’s a must try for anyone looking for high quality ice cream in a cozy, welcoming setting.
