If you celebrate Christmas, there are only 12 days from the big day and it is the perfect time to start a countdown! Here are twelve things you can do leading up to Christmas day.

Day 1: Get peppermint shakes

Wednesday, December 13

Chick-Fil-A has their classic Peppermint Chip seasonal shake right now, and it is a great way to get in the holiday spirit.

Day 2: Listen to Christmas music

Thursday, December 14

So basic, but so fun to go on a drive listening to Christmas music!

Day 3: Watch a Christmas movie

Friday, December 15

There are so many Christmas movies to watch. My personal favorite is Daddy’s Home 2, which is so funny and such a fun movie to get in the spirit.

Day 4: Go ice skating

Saturday, December 16

I love ice skating during the holiday season. A great place to do this is at Frisco Square!

Day 5: Gingerbread decorating

Sunday, December 17

Whether it’s homemade or premade from a store, gingerbread decorating with your friends or family is so much fun.

Day 6: Give a gift

Monday, December 18

It is the season of giving so it is the perfect time to randomly gift someone you love with something special.

Day 7: Watch the Radio City Christmas Spectacular

Tuesday, December 19

Since most of us are probably not in New York this Christmas, it is fun to watch the Radio City Christmas Spectacular on the TV.

Day 8: Go for a Christmas walk

Wednesday, December 20

I love walking at White Rock Lake, and this would be a great way to enjoy the outdoors and listen to Christmas music.

Day 9: Make Christmas sugar cookies

Thursday, December 21

Sugar cookies with holiday cutouts are the perfect Christmas treat. Sprinkle some red and green sprinkles on top!

Day 10: Watch the Nutcracker

Friday, December 22

When I was little I performed in the Nutcracker for several years, but since I stopped dancing I now watch it every year as a tradition. You can attend an in person Nutcracker or watch it on the TV!

Day 11: See Christmas lights

Saturday, December 23

My family has a tradition of looking at Christmas lights. We love going to Highland Park and seeing all of the houses lit up!

Day 12: Attend a Christmas service

Sunday, December 24

Christmas time is a great time to attend a church service, even if you are not religious! So many churches put on great performances during this time too.

Happy Holidays!

Love, Haley
