Love, Haley: heading into February

In this weekly blog, senior Haley Ward shares a little bit of everything: deep dives on her favorite topics, her fashion favorites, and how to make the most out of your high school years.

The first day of February is tomorrow and I am so excited. While it may not be a popular opinion, I love February. It’s a month filled with love and the perfect time to sit down and watch a rom com (stay tuned for something fun coming up with rom coms!). I wanted to share my goals for this month, especially for the seniors who are getting a little bit of senioritis like me.

I am really trying to prioritize my classes this month. Even though I already am committed to my college and the first semester of senior year is over, I am trying to get back on track after having a slower January. If you are also feeling in a slump over classes, try setting time aside each day for the things you need to get done. I’ve been creating notes on my computer each day of the things I want to try to get done, and even though I do not finish everything, it helps me check more things off.

This month my friend and I are trying out a cycling class at our gym together. Staying active is a lot more fun when you have someone you like spending time with to do it with. I think this class will be a great way to rewind after school. Try out new ways of exercising if what you are doing now isn’t making you happy!

I also want to read more this February. Reading is actually so fun if you have the right book. If you are like me and you’re trying to read more, I recommend making a Goodreads account. It is such a great way to track what you are reading and see what your friends are reading.

And of course I am really excited this month to watch tons of rom coms. Stay tuned for fourteen straight days of blogs! Each day leading up to Valentine’s Day, I will be reviewing a different rom com to hopefully give you some ideas on what to watch this February!

See y’all tomorrow for day one!

Love, Haley
