The girls’ basketball team (8-1) continued its winning streak Friday at Lebanon Trail (0-9) with a 63-19 win, keeping them in second place standing in District 11-5A. The Redhawks will stay on the road, as their next game will pit them against district rivals Centennial (2-7) Tuesday at 5:45 p.m.
For senior Anaiah Warrior, defense was an extremely important skill in the match against Lebanon Trail and will be a key going forward.
“What really helped us secure the win was making sure we locked in defensively, especially on their shooters, and concentrating on their effective players,” Warrior said.
Wingspan was unable to contact the Redhawk girls’ basketball coach for game interviews.
