To secure the last playoff spot in District 11-5A, the baseball team (6-7) faces Emerson (9-4) on Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Emerson. With the potential for this to be the last game of the season, the team looks to enjoy the game and have fun.
“I don’t know if there’s going to be a tough part of today’s game,” head coach Scott McGarrh said. “We just got to go to play. You know, we had two really good short practices on Thursday, even though we didn’t have a lot of space because of the rain. It’s like why was practice so good [on Thursday]? And I told them it was because we had fun. So just, [I want to] make sure they have fun playing the game, the same reason they played when they were ten years old.”
Wingspan was unable to contact players for pre-match interviews.
