Hosting Memorial (8-4) at The Nest Tuesday at 6:30 p.m., the softball team (10-2) aims for a sixth consecutive win and possibly a fourth consecutive shutout.
“We want to keep the momentum going,” head coach Tiffany Thayer said. “Last time, we had a blast at the plate, making things happen and keeping the pressure on. Even though the score ended up 19-2, it felt way more intense than that because our energy never dipped. I’d love to see that same fire and focus from the first pitch to the last out.”
Outscoring its last three opponent 41-0, senior Madison Terry believes that confidence will be key to maintaining the team’s streaks.
“We have been coming out with confidence in most of our games,” Terry said. “Some teams underestimated us this season, but I believe that with our confidence the game will go very well if we keep ourselves focused.”
