Riding a two game winning streak after sweeping Independence, baseball travels to Memorial to face the Warriors Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
The wins over the Knights (6-4) kept the Redhawks (5-5) in the chase for one of four playoff spots in District 11-5A.
“We’ve shown what we’re capable of doing, changing up practice, keeping it light and loose,” head coach Scott McGarrh said. “Overall, keep doing what we’re doing.”
Taking on the Warriors in a two game series will go a long way towards determining if the Redhawks make the playoffs.
Entering Tuesday’s game, the Redhawks are two games behind Memorial (7-3) with the chance to move into a tie with the Warriors with another sweep.
“Memorial, they’re pretty hard with their pitches,” freshman Joshua Fei said. “So that’s one of the challenges we’re gonna face.”
