Competing in the playoffs for the third year in a row, baseball dropped its first round series against Wakeland, losing 4-0 on Thursday and 6-1 on Friday.
According to head coach Scott McGarrh, the resilience that the team has displayed shows just how strong the team is.
“They had a ton of fight this year,” McGarrh said. “They played so well against Wakeland. We came up short and I’m not happy that we lost, but I am proud of their fight, their compete, their fire, their ‘want to’. They did everything they could, everything we asked of them, we just got beat by a team that was better than us that weekend. So, really, really proud of my guys.”
