The age-old adage is that good things come in pairs. Maybe that should be expanded to threes.
The volleyball team (2-0) will hit the road to face Panther Creek (7-3) Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in a non-district contest. If the Redhawks come away with a victory, they will have a 3-0 all-time record against the Panthers – in their third game of the season, it should be noted.
“Communication is key for our success, [and] we want to be really strong blockers this next match,” head coach Eighmy Dobbins said.
With district play not starting until a Sept. 9 match at Frisco (1-4), junior defensive specialist Mariana Arce explains how the team is approaching their next game.
“It’s still early in the season, so we’re focused on using matches like this to prepare for district play,” Arce said.
UPDATE:
With their 3-0 victory at Panther Creek (7-4) Tuesday, the volleyball team boosted not one record, but two.
Their season record went up to 3-0, while their all-time record against the Panthers likewise improved to 3-0.
