Building off their past successes, Cross Country competed in the Coach T Marcus Invitational meet on Saturday at 7 a.m.. Although the meet was cut short due to the weather, runners were still able to fully compete.
According to co-head coach Gabrielle Buruato, many of the runners achieved personal bests and showed strong progression.
“Our team did some really good things,” Buruato said. “Our boys are starting to get the hang of pacing themselves but still need to work on pacing the first mile. Our girls competed hard in a large competitive field and didn’t allow the field size to create a negative mindset. All the teams did well, staying packed up or staying within a minute or two of each other. We had five runners hit a personal new record (Caitlyn Ruback, Grace Harris, Alina Ji, Bryson Fant, & Noah Quintana).”
