Starting District 11-5A play with a win, the volleyball team (19-3, 1-0) defeated Frisco (10-11, 0-1) 3-0 on the road Tuesday. The Redhawks outscored the Raccoons 75-44, holding them to 14 points in both of the first two sets before allowing 16 in the final set.
“It feels so great to win our first game in district and know our hard work is paying off,” head coach Eighmy Dobbins said. “Offensively we were really smart with our shots and executed our scouting report. Defensively, we were very disciplined and picked up tips well.”
For setter, senior Princeton commit Allison Tredwell, the match is an indicator of what she believes should be a good season.
“Getting that first district win was really nice,” Tredwell said. “I think it shows that if we play the way we did, we’ll have a good season.”
