The tennis team faced Heritage in an away match Tuesday, losing 13-6. Despite the loss, the team members supported one another and persevered throughout the match.
“I think our expectations were spot on, with how the match was going to go,” head tennis coach William Davis said. “The other team was higher in UTR and other matches. I think the best we could’ve done was [12-7], but we finished [13-6]. But we all supported each other throughout the match, so we’re pretty happy with the results.”
For sophomore Sophia Shaikh, the biggest goal going forward is continuing with what went well and focusing on what didn’t.
“I had really good control over my nerves, and hope to continue that going forward,” Shaikh said. “I want to prioritize consistency and strategy in my next match, I think that would make a big difference with my game.”
