Successfully defending its top spot in Texas high school volleyball rankings, the volleyball team (22-3, 4-0) topped Heritage (13-11, 1-3) in a home match Friday, winning 3-0 and outscoring the Coyotes 76-58.
Successfully defending its top spot in Texas high school volleyball rankings, the volleyball team (22-3, 4-0) topped Heritage (13-11, 1-3) in a home match Friday, winning 3-0 and outscoring the Coyotes 76-58.
“We had a pretty consistent game,” head coach Eighmy Dobbins said. “Offensively we had a lot of success when we were swinging hard. Defensively we were super disciplined and paid attention to our scouting report well.”
The next test for the team is approaching rapidly, though, as they will make the short trip to Independence (9-9, 1-3) Tuesday at 6:30 p.m., hoping to notch another win.
“This year as a team we’re more disciplined and we want to win,” senior defensive specialist and outside hitter, Maddie LaGrone, said.
