Looking to bounce back after a 3-2 loss to Independence (10-9, 2-3), the volleyball team (22-4, 4-1) hosts Memorial (21-10, 4-1) Friday at 5:30 p.m.
Despite the differences in their records, this could be a trap game for the Redhawks, something head coach Eighmy Dobbins is well aware of.
“We need to look at what we struggled with and what went well against Independence so we can set a goal for our next game on how we’re gonna get better,” Dobbins said.
Senior, outside hitter and Eckerd College commit, Jaiden Harris is also approaching the match cautiously.
“There’s definitely a lot of added pressure on us because every team plays their best game against us,” Harris said. “We definitely saw that against Independence and we need to make sure we’re prepared for Memorial.”
UPDATE: The volleyball team (23-4, 5-1) won against Memorial (21-11, 4-1) at The Nest Friday, taking all three sets and outscoring the Warriors 75-62.
