Only two teams in District 4-5A Division II are still looking for their first win of the season – the Redhawks (0-4, 0-2) and the Independence Knights (0-4, 0-2). One of them will earn that first victory when the two teams face each other Friday at 7:00 p.m. at The Star on the Redhawks’ homecoming night.
Sophomore, wide receiver and defensive back Myles McClain is expecting an electric atmosphere, but is confident that the team can still execute their gameplan and get a win.
“It’s going to be packed,” McClain said. “There will be people cheering for us, cheering against us, but we need to block that out and play as a team, and I think this is going to be a very winnable game for us.”
Redhawks football coaches did not immediately respond to Liberty Wingspan’s request for comment.
