“We feel great.” head coach Eighmy Dobbins said. “We played super smart volleyball and had great consistency, especially in defending against their offense.”
With Independence (12-9, 4-3) handing the Redhawks their first district loss in the not-so-distant past despite being underdogs, junior, middle blocker and right-side hitter, Addi Alexander is glad that the team emerged victorious from what could have been a trap game.
“I’m glad we didn’t underestimate them,” Alexander said. “We played well all night.”
