Orchestra is hosting their annual breakfast social Friday at 8 a.m. in the orchestra room.
“[The] Breakfast Club is one of the many socials that we offer to our orchestra students each year,” assistant orchestra director Brandon Lucio said. “We have this social twice each school year because it is a fan-favorite among our students.
The officer team for orchestra helps in the preparation of foods and cleaning up after the social.
“For foods that must be cooked, some officers prepare the food at home and bring it to the orchestra room in the morning,” senior historian Sahana Sethuraman said. “The directors buy fresh fruit, bagels, and snacks and we all get together in the morning to set everything up. Officers help set up and clean up after the social, and some of us also man the waffle station. We also help serve the food and socialize among students.”
For Sethuraman, capturing the moments through photography brings her the most joy.
“I’m a historian, so I take pictures of all of the orchestra socials,” Sethuraman said. “I love taking pictures and spending time with my friends at the social while also eating some breakfast.”
For senior Shriya Satish, the grapes always make the best appearance.
“This is my fourth year attending the breakfast social, and every year they never fail to get the crunchiest, juiciest, biggest grapes,” Satish said. “They always taste amazing and are what I look forward to the most.”
