Treats and games based on winter vibes will fill the orchestra room on Friday from 4:30-6:30 p.m. for this year’s winter social.
“It’s a fun, festive social for orchestra students to relax and hang out after school,” orchestra director Brandon Lucio said. “Students get to spend time with friends.”
The setup is similar to other socials but with some food and drink favorites.
“The social will be the orchestra room where people can just chill and have fun,” sophomore Rebecca Feng said. “Some people are helping to make Ms. B’s famous hot chocolate. There will be games, food, and lots of fun!”
In addition to recurring foods, there will also be traditional games.
“The social will include many fun traditions. We always have good food, as well as our white elephant gift exchange,” Feng said. “We are also doing an ugly sweater competition, which should be a lot of fun!”
Another winter tradition is also part of the scheduled festivities.
“I am most looking forward to the gingerbread house making it relaxing and also fun to see how creative students get,” Lucio said.
For senior Trisha Agarwal, winning the white elephant game means she needs to have a good strategy.
“I will be participating in the white elephant exchange,” Agarwal said. “My plan is to try to steal a gift, and if that gift is stolen again, I can always steal another one.”
