The Winter Extravaganza is the last performance of 2025 for Red Rhythm but for senior Mason Classe, her year of dancing ends with the closing night of The Nutcracker.
“It has been really special to portray the Sugar Plum Fairy the past three years because I always looked up to the older dancers who did it when I started at my company eight years ago,” Classe said. “I love getting the opportunity to do it because it enables me to mentor and make connections with many of the younger members of our company.”
According to Red Rhythm manager, sophomore Saanjli Lamsal, Classe’s dedication to dance is admirable.
“She is so talented,” Lamsal said. “Her ability to balance being captain and dance outside of school is so inspiring and really shows what a committed person she is and how much dance impacts her life.”
After a season of balancing both drill team and ballet, Classe is looking forward to seeing it all come together on stage.
“All season long, we work on each routine individually, and we often don’t get to see all the hard work everyone has been putting into it,” Classe said. “That is why it is so rewarding getting to watch your friends shine in something they have poured so much into for the first time.”
