The girls basketball team (5-11, 1-1) is scheduled to participate in multiple games over winter break, with opponents still to be determined.
“The preparation [for upcoming games] is going to be a lot different [than preparation for Lebanon Trail] just because our district is tough,” head coach Mykaela Alfred said. “Some of the teams we have coming up are a lot tougher than others. So what we see on film and what they do against other teams, that will kind of determine our practice structure to try to give us the best opportunity to compete.”
Although practice will be different going forward, the positive mindset they carried into their last game will stay the same, according to sophomore Harper Johnson.
“We went in with a very positive mindset,” Johnson said. “We always had our heads on straight and were always encouraging each other the whole game, even when Lebanon Trail kind of caught up. So that’s something we should have at all the upcoming games.”
